The Trump administration continues to trample the constitution and violate people's human rights. Between foreign invasions, trade wars, and vilification of our allies, they are damaging America's place in the world. And their use of ICE to attack innocent civilians is criminal and in support of an unabashed agenda of white supremacy and nativism.
The training will be about the most effective ways we can fight this as individuals, along with the power of working in groups and coalitions. We'll discuss best practices for protests, rallies, and boycotts; best approaches to contacting elected representatives; and ways to make a difference in competitive elections.
This will be an interactive session, where we can talk together and practice effective tactics. Please join us!

ICE and CBP are terrorizing neighborhoods around the country. The key to disrupting their operations is to Get Loud and Form A Crowd, and to take lots of videos. Let's get together and prepare, so that we can help our friends and neighbors when they target the LA area again.
Please join us in assembling Whistle Kits that we can distribute to attendees at our events. Each kit will include: 1) 1 whistle for people to use if ICE shows up in their neighborhoods2) 5 know-your-rights red cards to give to people who might be at risk3) 2 flyers for businesses to post stating that a judicial warrant is needed for entry and law enforcement operations4) General instructions on how to use the kit5) Instructions on the best way to resist ICE operations
We'll have snacks and light beverages, and discuss some things we can do to get ourselves ready.
